The Brown Table

I’ll be waiting right here for you
At the brown table beside the kitchen
You know the one
We always sat here together
My tears have faded your red wine glass stain circles in the wood
I keep drawing the same flowers and shapes over and over
Can’t seem to stop
Don’t know how long I’ve been here
I’ve left your chair pulled out from the table
Waiting for you to return
Day and night
Under the dull amber light
I’ll be waiting right here for you my love.
